Leader Conversation Prompts
Use these prompts after annual survey results, pulse results or relevant lifecycle feedback. The aim is to help managers interpret themes with their teams and agree practical actions.
| Step | Prompt | Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Set context | What did we hear from the survey or feedback channel, and why are we discussing it now? | Shared understanding of purpose and confidentiality. |
| Explore meaning | What does this theme look like in our day-to-day work? | Practical examples without identifying individual respondents. |
| Understand drivers | What is making this easier or harder in our team? | Likely causes, constraints and enablers. |
| Identify influence | Which parts are within our team’s control, which require escalation, and which cannot be changed right now? | Separation of local action and enterprise action. |
| Prioritise action | What one or two changes would make the biggest practical difference over the next three months? | Small number of agreed actions. |
| Confirm accountability | Who will do what, by when, and how will we review progress? | Clear ownership and follow-through. |
