Reading Portal Results
The portal allows authorised users to view survey results for the organisational areas they are permitted to access. Portal access should help leaders understand patterns and act responsibly; it should not create a league table culture.
What portal users should look for
| View | Useful questions |
|---|---|
| Participation | Is the response rate sufficient to treat the result as reliable? Are any groups under-represented? |
| X-Factors | Are employees reporting positive experience, intent, advocacy and pride? |
| Dimensions | Is the main issue sitting in Cause, Capability or Culture? |
| Key Drivers | Which practical drivers are strongest or weakest? |
| Questions | What specific issue sits behind the driver score? |
| Benchmarks or comparisons | Is the result materially different from available comparison data? |
| Comments | What examples or explanations help interpret the numbers? |
Role-based access
Portal users will only be able to see results for organisational areas they are authorised to access. Access is configured based on Council’s organisational structure and reporting rules.
Leader discipline
Leaders should avoid:
- searching for who said what;
- presenting small-team results where confidentiality may be compromised;
- defending results before understanding them;
- reacting to one comment as though it represents the whole team;
- creating action lists before priorities are agreed.
The right posture is curiosity, not defensiveness.
