Mastertek Becoming an Employer of Choice Program

Executive · P&C Updated July 2026

Mastertek’s Becoming an Employer of Choice Program is the practical support pathway that connects Employee Survey results to the Mastertek Effective Organisations Framework, leadership and SME engagement, workforce data, action planning and implementation discipline.

It is distinct from the LGNSW-Mastertek Employer of Choice Program, which provides access to the survey, reporting and recognition pathway through LGNSW membership.

Where the Mastertek program adds value

Input How it is used
Employee Survey results Identify employee perceptions, X-Factors, Key Driver strengths and priority risks.
Leadership and SME engagement Test interpretation, understand operational context and identify feasible interventions.
Workforce metrics Connect perceptions with turnover, vacancies, sick leave, overtime, grievances, EAP themes and other risk signals.
Effective Organisations Framework Provides the structure and shared language for diagnosis, priority setting and initiatives.
Action planning and measures Convert insights into owners, timeframes, lead/lag indicators and review rhythms.

Typical workflow

  1. Run the Employee Survey.
  2. Review results through the EOF lens.
  3. Map existing strategies, initiatives and measures to EOF.
  4. Engage leaders and SMEs to test the current state.
  5. Identify priority Key Drivers and strategic initiatives.
  6. Build an action plan and scorecard.
  7. Embed review into existing business and IP&R rhythms.
  8. Monitor progress through measures and follow-up listening.

Practical principle

The aim is not to create a parallel HR project. The aim is to make employee feedback useful within Council’s existing planning, leadership and improvement systems.
